They found all the eggs, we actually had to tell Ryan to slow down! Posted by Picasa

Ryan did get over his fear of tractors and mowers, but learned a valuable lesson: "No scooping people." Posted by Picasa

She wanted to be up high, in the big chair. Posted by Picasa

I think that Ryan is amazed at himself for standing so close to the mower. Posted by Picasa

My Inquisitor

We got home from the Easter Bunny storytime at the library and Holly asked "Is the Easter Bunny pretend?"

Michelle and I asked her, why are you asking that Holly?

She told us, that she saw a neck under the bunny helmet.

Last week (April 2nd!) we had some snow. You would think that we didn't get 75+ inches this winter, but the kids were so interested in watching it. Maybe it was the big flakes, maybe it was the fact that it was around dusk, and they had a tiring day, but they sat at their bedroom windows and watched the snow fall for a while! Posted by Picasa

Her Hips

This morning Michelle had some song stuck in her head, something Shakira: the hips don't lie, or something like that. I've never heard it, I don't know, but when Michelle started saying it under her breath, and Holly started to utter it too, it was pretty cute. Holly even started to wiggle her hips around saying "The hips don't lie the hips don't lie the hips don't lie."

Then she lay down on the bed and said "The hips lie."

My Power Play

Last week I finally bought a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) for my computer. Basically, if the power goes out the computer will run on batteries long enough for me to save any data and shut down safely. Our electricity is usually solid, this winter we only lost power 3 or 4 times, and three-quarters of those were for 10-15 seconds before power came back on. Once it was about 5 minutes. Well this UPS I have will provide power for up to 60 minutes (actually less because of the dual monitor setup that I have), and smooth out any surges or power fluxuations that we may get. It even has a port for running the cable modem through it to prevent lightning strike burnouts. But the cable that came for that feature is only about a foot and a half long. About 3 feet shorter then I need in order to get the cable back to the cable modem from where the UPS is on the floor.

I don't like the fact that in order to download QuickTime (the most recent version is 7) you are required to also download and install the bundled software: Itunes. I am a big fan of Itunes, and think that with the availability of TV shows on there (even though the quality is pretty poor) it is only going to lead to bigger and better TV-related entertainment options online. But being required to also install that program just so that I can use QuickTime to watch the little video clips that I have recorded with our digital camera is quite the pain in the butt.
